Does touching your face worsen acne?
You have mentioned that the reason touching the face frequently would worsen acne is due to the thickening of the skin. It has nothing to do with oil or bacteria because the oil and bacteria that lead acne are deep inside the pilosebaceous unit, is that correct?
You are correct but touching can also help cause clogs by trapping the oil which has come up to the surface.
