Is it OK to extract sebum from an enlarged pore?
Would you advise extracting sebum from an enlarged pore by gently pressing on the skin around the pore? Why or why not?
In a perfect world I would suggest that you don’t squeeze your pores.
But in trying to be helpful and realistic, it’s not so bad to squeeze white and black heads very gently as long as you push around and under the pore (so you are pushing the contents out instead of pushing the two sides of the pore together at the skin surface which closes the pore and does damage). That’s very different from “picking” at pimples which you should never do
