What is the truth with mixing AHAs and retinol products?
Hi, I would like to know the real deal of mixing retinol and AHAs in products. I have read that AHAs will inactivate Retinol when used together. But there are others who claim the contrary. I’m confused.
It’s a very confusing subject. You are correct but that doesn’t stop one from using AHAs at one end of the day and Retinol at the other end. Just bear in mind that the AHA’s will allow more of the Retinol to be absorbed and therefore the Retinol becomes more potent.
